4 Steps to Diamond Painting

We have created some simple and easy to follow diamond painting instructions for those of you who are new to this hobby. Here are the 4 basic steps that will help you get started with your first diamond painting kit. We would love to hear about your experience with diamond painting. If you would like to share your work you are more than welcome to post it on our Facebook page.

Have fun!

Step 1: Prepare the tools
Spread out your supplies/tools. Store each colour in a container and clearly mark the colour number on the containers. Decide on which colour of diamonds to start with and add it to the tray (5D side facing up)

Step 2: Dip pen in wax
Peel back the plastic layer from the wax and dip the tip of your diamond painting pen in the wax. (Use the wax sparingly as it just helps you pick up the diamond) The glue is located on the canvas

Step 3: Pick up diamonds with the pen and stick to canvas
Peel back a small area of the protective sheet on the canvas. Check your chart and pick up the diamond colour in your tray with the tip of the pen and stick it into the symbol on the canvas.

Step 4: Press down & Display
When you are finished you can put heavy books on top to make sure the drills are all firmly in place. Display your artwork (frame, book cover, wall hanging, pillow cover, etc.)
